Mental health conditions can disrupt peoples’ lives. Losing their jobs, dropping out of school, or distancing themselves from their families and friends may leave people feeling isolated and alone. Members’ participation in their Club helps to relieve the loneliness, prejudice, and discrimination that affect so many people with mental health conditions.

Clubhouses emphasize peer support, providing a safe and compassionate place where a person can work at their own pace, while enjoying satisfying and supportive friendships. All members are given opportunities to live, work, and learn while contributing their talents to a community of mutual support. 

Clubs are available to anyone who is eligible to receive services through the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH). If a person is ineligible for DMH services, they may apply for Clubhouse services directly at the Clubhouse they would like to attend. Check below to find a Club in your area.
