Each year, Vinfen uses the power of film to raise awareness, foster important dialogues, and fight against the prejudice and discrimination often faced by people with mental health conditions and disabilities.

Through the power of film, Moving Images raises awareness, fosters important dialogues, and continues the fight again the prejudice and discrimination often faced by people with mental health conditions and disabilities.

WAKE UP
Wake Up interweaves the stories of four very different communities affected by suicide – college students, veterans, the LGBT community, and gun owners. Rather than laboring on tragedy and despair, Wake Up focuses on the leaders on the frontlines of prevention, leaving viewers feeling hopeful, informed, and encouraged. It also powerfully illustrates how positive change can be achieved when compassion is practiced over prejudice – an important and timely lesson.
Followed by a panel discussion featuring:

- Michael Zibilich - Suicide awareness advocate and speaker, founder of the Keller Zibilich Sigma Chi Lifeline Program, and subject of the film

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY
The Definition of Insanity depicts the story of Judge Steven Leifman’s tireless work decriminalizing treatment of people with serious mental health conditions and a tribute to the good that can be accomplished by one individual on a mission.
Followed by a panel discussion featuring:

AUTISM: THE SEQUEL
In 2006, HBO debuted the Emmy-winning film Autism: The Musical, which followed five children as they wrote and performed their own musical. Autism: The Sequel revisits the stars of this musical 12 years later as the original subjects, now in their early 20s, navigate what independence means to them as they manage both challenges and triumphs as adults living on the autism spectrum.
Following by a panel discussion featuring:

- Wyatt Isaacs - One of the stars of the film
- Adam Mandela Walden (one of the stars of the film) and Rosanne Katon Walden (Adam's mother)

Applications to offer Continuing Education (CE) credits for LMHCs, LADCs, Social Workers, and Nurses have been submitted.
Please check our website for updates. More details will be provided as soon as they become available.
Because of the virtual nature of the festival, registration before the event will be required.
To receive Continuing Education credits, you must attend 100% of the program from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except for lunch and during the 15-minute afternoon break. Partial credit is not available. Attendance will be monitored through the virtual Eventive platform to ensure full attendee participation. Please view the program via your desktop or laptop. More details coming soon.
CE APPLICATION STATUS
All CE applications have been submitted and application status will be updated accordingly.
- Licensed Mental Health Counselors (MA licenses): Approved for 6 CE contact hours
This program has been approved for 6 Category I MaMHCA hours for relicensure, in accordance with 262 CMR. MEACP Authorization # 22-0200.
- Social Workers (please check with your local licensing authority to verify continuing education requirement eligibility): Approved for 6 CE contact hours
This program has been approved for 6 Social Work Continuing Education hours for relicensure, in accordance with 258 CMR. NASW-MA Chapter CE Approving Program, Authorization Number D90977.
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (MA licenses): Approved for 6 CE contact hours
Vinfen has been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services/LADC Unit to offer 6 CE contact hours for this event.
- Nurses (MA and NH licenses): Approved for 6 CE contact hours
Vinfen (Provider Number CEP 16171) is a California Board of Registered Nursing Approved Provider, which is valid for all nursing licenses in MA and NH. Vinfen’s 15th Annual Moving Images Film Festival program has been approved for 6 CE contact hours.
CE POST-EVENT EVALUATIONS
All CE evaluations are due no later than April 1 and will be available via a SurveyMonkey link noted below except for Nurse CE paperwork, which is available in PDF format.

Please note: in lieu of traditional proof of attendance cards and obtaining stamps throughout the program for the in-person event, attendance will be monitored during the day of the event to ensure professionals have viewed all films and live panel discussions to their entirety.
